Interesting, is there any possibility of getting some information on this?

your thoughts behind the shot, and the project, if you don't mind?

it's quite an unique picture, both in lighting, expression and frankly the cake.

well it's for my final, and I am just trying out different things with food & portraits. I honestly don't know where I am going with it at this point, I have about 3 more weeks of shooting.

I'm still figuring out where I am going with it I suppose, experimenting with light & subjects.

3 weeks are a lifetime of shooting, using your own studio?
film or digital?

these are all on film and processed in a color darkroom-no computer editing. Hah I wish, I just kind of set up my own in my room, and use one of those cheap stand 3 bulb lamps. they work surprisingly well for what they are. I also use an 80A filter since the film I shoot on is mainly for natural light

ISO 400?
well, you could invest in two-three of those standing lamps used by carpenters and such. just bounce them of a white wall\sheet or make some cheap filters.

personally i work in the studio at my school, using both Nikon and Canon analogs, and using my own analog ( Pentax Me Super(100mm)) and my Canon 400D for test shots, using two lamps\flashes. works great, white backdrop, using Illford 50.

well it's 400 speed film, but we shoot it at 200 speed.
yeah, I'm still trying to figure everything out. I show these to my prof. tomorrow and maybe I'll get some more ideas.
